Medellín, is the capital of the department of Antioquia. It is a very emblematic and representative department for its great indrustrial and economic contribution. A touristic and cultural level, it is one of the most visited destinations due to its great offer. It has very beautiful tourist places to visit, such as:
The small town Paisa, in the hill of Nutibara.
The race 70, with countless stores and restaurants.
The Arví ecotourism park, ecological site with trails and gondola.
The Botanical Garden of Medellín, with the largest exhibition in orchids.
Explora Park, science museum with aquarium.

This city offers a wide gastronomic variety, but its typical dish is the paisa tray, consisting of beans, chorizo, fried egg, chicharron, rice, ground beef and ripe plantain slices. Also a variety of desserts such as Maria Luisa cake, rice pudding and breads with arequipe.


The flower fair is a celebration that takes place between the 6th and the 11th of August, where the silletas elaborated by the peasants of the municipalities, bordering the city, are exhibited.
